Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born on the 7th of
September, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a
theatre actor writer, director, actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her
mother, as well as an actress. She has two older brothers--Dana Wood, a singer,
and Ira David Wood IV, who has also acted. Evan and her brothers have performed
in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh which is where her father serves as the
executive director. When she was five, she auditioned for the part of Interview
with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She relocated to Los Angeles
with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 and has been a hit ever since and has been
featured in a variety of TV series, TV movies and feature films. She was the
lead character in Practical Magic (1998) and S1m0ne (2002, Al Pacino's child).
Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). Her role as Tracy in
"Thirteen," which she was a part of was nominated from the Golden
Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama, as well as a nomination
from Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress Female
in an Leading Role. At the time she was nominated by SAG and was the most
youthful actress to be nominated in the Leading Role category. For her role as
Veda Pierce, the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce (2011), she received an Emmy
and Golden Globe nominations. Her remarkable performance as Stephanie Rourke's
estranged son in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008) earned her praise. She
is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. Ira David Wood III's
younger sister. Dancer. She likes to sing, swim, rollerblade, and go horseback
riding. She has earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She stays in touch with
many of her Once and Again (1999 castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and
Shane West.
