Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 at Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took her skills, she placed second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and signed with Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in the events.
